Write a letter to one of your English-speaking friends whose son will travel in your country during the vacation before his university life. In the letter
express your welcome to his son
list the places you will show him around
introduce the local weather.

Dear John,
I am very glad to read in your last letter that your son will visit China next month, and I would like to extend my warm welcome to his coming.
As you know, China is famous for its cultural heritage, so I will guide him to visit some of the famous places of historical interest in Beijing, such as the Great Wall, the Palace Museum, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace and the Ming Tombs. Of course, the natural scenery is also very attractive and worth a visit. Besides, since he will begin his university life later, I think he will be interested in Chinese universities, therefore I will take Tsinghua University and Peking University into the visiting list.
As for the weather, Beijing is in early summer now, it is already very hot and wet, and it seems to be hotter next month. In addition, it usually rains a lot in summer, so I advice your son to bring some thin clothes and rainwear.
If you or your son has any other questions, please do not hesitate to call or e-mail me as soon as possible. And I will send the detailed arrangement to you later.
I am looking forward to seeing him next month.
Yours sincerely,
Jim Wong
